Attached is a presentation and paper presented by EPR back in 2011 on lessons learned from the implementation of the ban on hexavalent chromium via the ELV Directive in the automotive sector. It explores how the ban was effected, the winners and losers, and draws out lessons learned from the industry that can be applied as we look towards a future of increasing rates of substance obsolescence through REACH and other restricted substance regulations around the globe.
