REACH 2018 Registration Deadline – Are you aware of the risks?
The 2018 REACH Registration deadline poses significant supply disruption risks to your business. Suppliers in your supply chain may not register substances that are currently on the market and are present in your products. Suppliers may register substances that you use, but may not support your particular use of that substance. Either way, that presents a supply disruption risk.
To help raise awareness of these risks, and in turn help mitigate the potential risks arising the French Vehicle Equipment Industry (FIEV) and the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) have both produced guidance. The flyer attached with this post contains the FIEV summary of 2018 Registration risks, and practical steps to take to mitigate those risks. Further guidance can be found on the ACEA link here. The Society of Motor Manufacturers & Traders (SMMT) plans to issue a similar deadline awareness letter to its supply chain members and non-member supply chain contacts.
