About us

EPR Consulting is the HP Enterprise Services approved International Materials Data System (IMDS) trainer for the UK, Republic of Ireland, Turkey, India, South Africa and Australia. In addition to training we provide assessment and planning and outsourcing services to companies at all levels of the supply chain to build their compliance strategy for Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) driven legislative and voluntary initiatives.

Put simply, EPR requires manufacturers to be financially and legally responsible for the life cycle impacts of their products on the environment. In the automotives sector, the key EPR driven initiatives are the End of Life Vehicles Directive, and corresponding compliance tool, IMDS; and more latterly the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) Regulation.

This shift in focus away from site based environmental impacts to product impacts creates a variety of challenges as well as opportunities for manufacturers. Supply chains are global and complex, and product is often supplied to multiple markets around the world which can make compliance seem a daunting prospect.

By developing the infrastructure, systems and expertise necessary to manage these issues, our aim is to support companies in building robust, efficient compliance strategies that are appropriate to the size of their organisation. By taking a proactive stance to EPR compliance, companies stand to benefit from enhanced brand perception, identification of new business opportunities and growth of market share, and the building stronger relationships with customers, investors, suppliers, regulatory bodies and broader stakeholders.

EPR Consulting Ltd provides a broad range of expertise from chemists, materials experts, trainers, and IMDS consultants. For over eight years our staff and network of business partners have been providing support to all levels of the supply chain providing training to many thousands of IMDS users around the world, and supporting many hundreds of companies in the development of their compliance strategies for IMDS and REACH.

As IMDS training providers over the last eight years, our team has delivered a variety of IMDS course to many thousands of IMDS Users in countries as diverse as South Africa, India, China, Turkey, Iran as well as the UK. We can provide Open Enrolment training that can be booked through the IMDS Public Training Pages, as well as onsite training tailored to your individual needs.

Our staff have also been involved with IMDS outsourcing projects for all tiers of the automotive supply chain from vehicle manufacturers to material manufacturers providing services such as assessment and planning, data processing, supplier management, to full outsourcing. Our body of expertise encompasses a broad range of materials, components and complex assembles.

More latterly our team has been working with the automotive sector in responding to the challenges posed by the REACH regulation by participating in REACH seminars in the UK and India, as well as supporting a number of suppliers in the development of their REACH compliance strategies.
